There is an airport rail link located underground to transport passengers between terminals. The rail link stations are situated in the first three terminals.

Terminal 1 international, the Level 1 of arrivals, and Level 2 of the departures area have ATMs and currency exchange facilities. Fax and postal facilities are offered by the Australia Post that is situated in the heart of the Level 2 departures. Email and internet services are offered at the bar, while an array of Australian and international dishes are served in restaurants and cafes across the airport. More than 130 service and retail outlets are also housed within the Sydney Airport including hair and beauty salons, an Australian produce store, fashion stores, a wine store, and several other specialty stores like MAC Cosmetics and Toys Can Fly. Terminal 1's level 3 has a medical centre and a pharmacy, while activity centres for children are located in the gate lounges of the One World and Star Alliance.

Passengers can avail cheap car hire in Sydney Airport, with car rental facilities allowing them to reserve in advance online to avoid hassle upon arrival. Otherwise, they can opt to take a taxi or request for limousine services at the arrivals hall of terminal 1. Buses are also available at the airport outside the arrivals hall of terminal 1 and the waiting areas of Terminal 2 and 3.
