Good and reliable company for renting a car abroad

Easy website, easy phone contact when I had questions. Everything well-organized. Friendly staff. Have rented a car through this company several times and have always been very satisfied.

Generally good

The staff at J'burg airport were efficient, if a little 'cool' (distant). Instructions, map, etc to get out of the airport and, worse where to get petrol to fill up before returning the car were not supplied unless requested. The car itself was excellent. I tried to send the following message to 121carhire ater receiving the summary invoice but I believe the message was 'undelivered': "My only query is the fuelling charge for 118.04. We filled up at the Engels petrol station about 2 km from the airport before returning the car, so I have my suspicions about 118 rands-worth of petrol apparently needed after our return. Otherwise the car was faultless and we greatly enjoyed a very educational and interesting 10 days touring." Thank you. Peter Turnbull

Car Hire at Fes Airport

The 121 Carhire site was easy to use and provided us with a good range of car options at the most competitive rates. It was easy to print out the voucher and I liked the ability to take out the excess insurance later on, again at a competitive rate. I would have liked to see which car rental company my car was coming from before I confirmed my booking. When I printed off my voucher I hadn't heard of the company being used. I needn't have worried though, as the whole process worked well, the car was as advertised and we were on our way in no time at all. I wouldn't hesitate to use 121 Carhire again.

Morocco Trip

WE hired two cars - did not get what we had booked but were happy. One was a bit of an upgrade as well. Would have liked to have known more explicitly, beforehand, the waiver options details. The pick up took a bit of bureaucratic paperwork as would be exepected in such a country but all went ok. The cars were in very good condition - the GPS was a bit of a failure as seemed to only work in the bigger cities. We did a full circuit from Marrakesh to Skoura to Hassilabied, to Fez, to Meknes, to Casablanca and reutned to Marrakesh. We were given contact information in case of emergencies. Return was quick - we parked the cars at the airport, went to the booth and they immediately inspected the cars then wished us a happy flight home. What could be easier.

What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).

What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.
