Currently undergoing a major expansion that will expand capacity to seven million passengers by the year 2011, Wroclaw Airport is about 10kms from downtown Wroclaw. Public transport runs between the city and the airport, but taxis and car rental are the recommended options.

The two terminals are joined on the one level, and car rental companies are located right inside the main entrance. Other retail outlets including bars and cafés are spread through the main lobby and facilities such as currency exchange booths and ATM machines are also plentiful, and handily located.

Cheap car hire at Wroclaw Airport is available as most of the big international chains operate on the ground floor retail space. The popular city of Krakow is about a two hour drive from the airport.

Wroclaw city is vibrant and cosmopolitan, rich in history and the multicultural influences of a thousand years of influences from Polish, German, Hungarian, Czech and Jewish cultures and their people. Museums and art galleries abound, and the Market Square is one of the biggest in Europe.

Cheap car hire at Wroclaw Airport is a good way to take advantage of Wroclaw's status as the hub of the Lower Silesia region. Mountains, lakes and rivers are part of the area's natural draw cards. Slawskie Lake is the largest lake in the area and the Odra River offers many attractions. On the other hand, bustling urban centres like Dresden, Berlin and even the Polish capital Warsaw are driving distance from Wroclaw Airport as is the Czech border.
